Led by captain marvellous our Ladies 3rd team are on fire running up a killer score sheet this past weekend as they sailed to a 4-1 win over Hampstead & Westminster L4s. As our new and freshly formed L3s this season, they are giving majority of the MHA Prem League a good run for their money! Having racked up 29 goals already this season and sitting in 3rd place, they have scored the most goals in the Southgate Ladies section season to date with their captain Caroline O’Brien and U16 Junior Hannah Kilpatrick both having racked up 9 of them each. Well Done Ladies! Keep up the good work and lets keep that winning streak going!
Ladies 1st had a tough loss away to Harleston Magpies 3-0. A hostile place to visit at the best of times. In spite of a few good efforts the Ladies couldn’t get that all important first goal. They went in to the interval one down. Early in the second half captain Wales very nearly equalised but the ball immediately travelled the length of the pitch to give the home side a 2-0 lead. 3-0 flattered Harleston. This coming Saturday an extremely tough match beckons at home to Wimbledon.
Ladies 2s lost away to Marlow 1-0
L4s lost narrowly away to OMT 1s with a single converted P-flick the difference between the two teams. Woman of the Week was once again GK Helen Argyrou for an outstanding performance between the sticks.
Ladies 5s up to 5th in Div 2 with a good 2-1 win over Hendon & Mill Hill
