The Southgate Sports and Leisure Trust (SSLT) was formed in 1996 as a registered charity to acquire and develop a site in Trent Park, North London. As a charity SSLT was able to obtain the grants that made it possible for this site to become the home of Southgate Hockey Club and more recently to replace the pitch carpets.
