Annette Woodrow, the new chair of selection for the ladies’ side of the club extends a warm welcome to new and existing members. After a very successful, popular summer hockey league season and a well-attended array of pre-season events, we approach this season with a sense of excitement and anticipation. Thank you to all those of you who have had a hand in arranging and running the various sessions, your time and effort is much appreciated by all of us.

 

Pre-season

All our squads have had successful and useful pre-season friendly fixtures.

Our 1s squad had fixtures against Exeter University, Durham University and Broxbourne.

The 2s squad produced an excellent pre-season performance against Marlow on September 14, and there was a strong showing from a combined 4s and 5s team against Wapping.

Meanwhile, our 3s squad played a hard-fought game against East London on Club Day.

Thus we are all ready for the season and hoping for a strong, successful start following our thorough preparations.
