“Third time lucky?” sadly not. There is  theory in horse racing called “the bounce” where a horse runs a good race first time back on the course and then a pour one the second time. Well this was 4As on Saturday.  We were ready to go and get a win against Ricky 1s (having lost 1-3 and 1-0 to them this year) but our collective first touch, ball pace and energy all seemed subdued.

Only 0-1 down at the half there were more encouraging moments in the second half but it just never quite clicked. Neither team were good at “shorts”. Their second goal put them fairly safe. A good bunch of guys. Another, possibly midweek, fixtures awaits…
