After a tough lesson at Wimbledon the previous week, coming on to the pitch with confidence in the following match was always going to be key. The Ladies 1st Team managed to shrug off any negativity and put in a strong showing to earn a hard fought 0-0 draw with Barnes. Indebted once again to a fine display in goal be Jess Hudson, who in spite of giving away a Penalty Flick for a somewhat rash challenge, made up for it by saving the P Flick and pulling off a string of great saves. Most importantly she provides a terrifying sight for attackers of opposing teams!! A lot of positives to take into the next game. Lots of great passing but a slight reluctance to put the opposing keeper under pressure. Hopefully the team can build on this performance for the away match to Chelmsford next Saturday
The Ladies 2s had a rather disappointing loss to West Hampstead on Saturday. The first half got off to a fine start but, by half time, we really should have been winning the game. Unfortunately, we couldn’t seem to get the ball across the line, in part due to a couple of great saves from their goalie. West Hampstead, however, did manage to score some goals and the game ended with a 2-0 loss for us. Still, we are not deterred for Hampstead and Westminster next week.
Great wins for Ladies 3s ; 7-1 in 6s by a massive 12-1!!
Ladies 4s match abandoned due to an injury. Ladies 5s lost 2-0 to NPL Ladies
