For all of our camps, players should have the following:
- A packed lunch
- Mouthguards (can be purchased in the clubhouse)
- Shin pads
- Hockey stick (we can provide if needed)
- Pocket money for drinks and snacks in the clubhouse (optional)
PERFORMANCE CAMPS (school years 8-13)
These camps are tailored for young players who are playing representative hockey (county, TA or higher).
Each day will focus on improving core skills, playing in a competitive, challenging environment and developing more advanced skill sets.
We aim to give players an understanding of what it takes to play in a performance environment on the pitch and occasionally in the video room.
Coaches include Prem players and international players and coaches.
MINI CAMPS (school years 1-6)
Led by members of the Southgate Coaching Team.
A fun course of hockey skills for children of all abilities aged 5 to 11. Beginners welcome!
Children will be divided into groups on the first morning and coached according to experience and ability.
The course will include training and exercises designed to introduce new skills and develop technique.
There will of course be lots of games and competition.
JUNIOR CAMPS (school years 7-9)
Led by members of the Southgate Coaching Team.
A fun course of hockey skills for children of all abilities aged 11 to 14. Children will be divided into groups on the first morning and coached according to experience and ability.
The course will include training and exercises designed to introduce new skills and develop technique.
There will of course be lots of games and competition.
SMALL GROUP 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 (available to all ages)
These sessions last 90minutes and can be scheduled for times between 10am and 4pm.
Sessions will be tailored to individual and specific needs and can be taken by the Director of Hockey, club coaches, Prem players or Internationals.
