Southgate continued their unbeaten run in the league this year earning another excellent 3 points with a convincing win over Ealing.

Southgate dominated the game throughout but the breakthrough came mid-way through the first half with a sensational hit by Annabelle K from the edge of the D into the bottom left hand corner that sliced through the defence. This was soon followed by a second goal scored by Lucienne who made a strong run up the right hand side into the D and found the goal from a very tight angle. The third goal was scored from a penalty corner early in the second half with a fine hit from Annabelle H.

However, the goals were only part of the story with regards to how well the team played. The passing was slick throughout with players being able to pick out the driving runs. The defence were also immense with Ealing not having a shot on goal. It was a complete performance from an ever improving team. The next league match is a top of the table clash which will be another test but in the meantime the girls should enjoy their win. Well done Southgate.
