Vision for the future

The purchase of the freehold secures our future and unlocks growth, diverse use, improved facilities and the ability to host larger national and international events.

It gives a clear line of sight into the future: a thriving, inclusive, distinctive, high-performing club continuing to create memories on and off the pitch.

WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED TOGETHER

It’s worth pausing to recognise just how much has been achieved since launching the Sleeping Giant project three years ago:

Our M1s are competing in the National Premier League — a huge achievement at the very top of the national game.

Our W1s have earned promotion to Division One South and now compete just one step away from the Premier League

Our M2s gained promotion into the National League and our W2s are within touching distance of doing the same.

We appointed a full-time Director of Hockey, further strengthening our Club, ensuring better pathways, stronger coaching and more consistent experiences for all players.

Across our adult and junior sections, teams and players have enjoyed remarkable success. Underpinning all of this is a culture built on pride, enjoyment, inclusivity and community, where belonging matters as much as winning.

WHAT’S COMING NEXT?

The first new project made possible by the freehold acquisition is a six-court covered padel centre.

Operated by PadelStars, it will offer discounted access for Southgate members.

It will also bring a complementary sporting experience to Trent Park, attract new people to the site, and generate a sustainable income stream to support both the Club’s hockey ambitions and its future facilities.
