Southgate HC’s School Outreach programme is already in full swing this season with regular Breakfast Clubs and Afterschool Clubs at state schools across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey and Masterclasses hosted at the club with York School.
On Thursday we hosted 8 primary schools across Barnet and Enfield for our first Hockey Skills Festival of the academic year. 80 children enjoyed various activities over the 2 hours during the morning, practising fundamental hockey skills with 7 coaches from the Southgate Outreach team.
We will be running another Festival in the Spring term and aim to run a Quicksticks tournament for Primary Schools next summer.
