🏑 Southgate Juniors Weekly Round-Up 🏑

What a fantastic weekend of junior hockey!  From determined performances to big wins, our Southgate juniors showed grit, teamwork, and plenty of goals.  Here are the highlights:

U14 Girls

Southgate U14 Girls 3 – 0 Surbiton Eagles (Tier 1)

• An epic game and a massive team performance across the pitch!  The girls played with confidence and composure, securing a clean sheet and three brilliant goals. Manager Jon Huddleston praised the squad’s effort and spirit.  An exciting season ahead!  Goals came from Elodie (1) and Felicienne (2).

Southgate U14 Dolphins 4 – 0 Ealing U14 Kites

• The Dolphins delivered an impressive display, taking control from the start and finishing with a convincing 4–0 win.  With goals from Ava, Anya and Victoria (2).  A true showcase of teamwork and sharp finishing.

U14 Boys

Southgate U14 Sharks 3 – 2 H&WHC (IV)

• What a nail-biter! The Sharks battled hard in an away match, showing resilience and determination right to the final whistle.  With a well-deserved win, Man of the Match went to Fyffe for an outstanding performance.

Southgate U14 Whales 4 – 0 OMT U14As

• The Whales were in fine form this weekend! Goals from Charlie, Kyson, Oliver and Gabriel secured a strong 4–0 victory, with Zachary earning Man of the Match for an incredible contribution.

U16 Girls

Southgate U16 Pumas 1 – 2 H&W U16s (IV)

• A heroic effort from the Pumas, who travelled with just 11 players.  No subs, no goalie, and still managed to put on a brilliant performance.  Despite the narrow 2–1 loss, the girls showed remarkable spirit and resilience, keeping the opposition under pressure right to the end.  A huge credit to the squad!

👏 Well done to all our juniors this weekend!  Your passion, teamwork, and energy continue to make Southgate proud!
