Southgate hosted their first Connecting Clubs event last week with featured panelists including GB’s Dan Fox and hosted by Southgate Chairman Alastair Whatley.
This free event was open to all and saw clubs from all over the UK travel to Southgate to here more from a high powered range of voices who represented 5 different clubs.
Each panellist has worked in the front line of their club’s transformation and spoke eloquently and concisely about how they had achieved this. The next Connecting Clubs Event will be in early September. Look out for more details.

*Dan Fox* – Former GB Captain and Chief Transformer of Guildford Hockey Club.
*James Bateman* – University of Nottingham Head Coach and mastermind behind Nottingham University’s dominance of University hockey.
*Jack Tranter* – Chief Transformer of Old Loughts, responsible for the diversification of their business model (from Padel courts to EV chargers).
*Simon Longhurst* – Head Transformer of East Grinstead’s Media and Spectator Package.
*Alex Smart* – Director of Junior Hockey at Hampstead & Westminster Hockey Club, and the transformer responsible for starting and growing H&Ws junior section – one of England’s biggest junior sections.
