After a 2nd placed finish earlier in the month at Polo farm, Rob Schilling and his team travel up to the midlands on Saturday for a tough weekend of games as they look to secure qualification into Division One.
Led by captain Ellie Robinson the team qualified in January 11th along with top placed Hampstead & Westminster and Old Georgians. They will be joined by teams from Wakefield, Leeds and Cambridge University. The team face Cambridge first up on Saturday at 2pm followed by a re-match with Old Georgians at 5pm then on Sunday its Wakefield at 10am, Leeds at 12pm and then a long wait until the 4pm showdown with Hampstead.
Ones to watch this weekend are up and coming juniors Lettie, Olivia and Freya! Freya and Lettie were in the Haileybury U18 team that recently came runners up in the National Indoor Competition to Repton taking a Silver Medal and gaining some great experience to bring with them into this weekend.
We also look out for top Southgate players like Charlotte Kelly, Imi Swann, Emma Postings and top goal scorer Jess Denniff and our most capped super 6s player goalkeeper Louisa Bray with 39 caps (for Southgate and Surbiton). It should be another thrilling tournament with all to play for- the team came close last year in Telford and will be hoping to push on and up in 2026!
